Being a mashup of both Athenian and Tuscan wood types, Bombastic Barry was conceptualized to be an energetic type style that exudes eagerness and impulsiveness. Decorative serifs inspired by Athenian woodtype are shown to evoke a sense of enthusiasm. Its Gothic Tuscan inspired bowls and squashed counters are used to communicate improvisation. The typestyle was made into a type book featuring descriptions of the type’s nuances and showcasing it being used in various ways.
